SOLUTIONIZED: BBQ Potato Crust Pizza + Creamy Garlic Sauce | (Starch Solution, Vegan Friendly)

Hi guys! In this video, I show you how to make a healthy potato pizza with a delicious creamy garlic sauce. I got inspiration from @Hotforfood’s original BBQ Jackfruit Pizza recipe (link below), but I’ve made it starch solution friendly! Hope you enjoy. Recipe down below.

POTATO PIZZA
Crust:
4 small boiled potatoes (use more if you want a larger pizza)
Pinch of salt and pepper

Sauce:
1/2 cup rolled oat
2 to 3 bulbs of garlic (roast them in the oven at 375ºF for 35 minutes, flipping halfway through)
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Pinch of salt and pepper

Toppings:
a handful of kale
1/2 red onion thinly sliced
2 tbsp vegan barbecue sauce

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400ºF

2. In a bowl mix the kale and lemon juice, making sure to massage the kale well so it wilts. Set aside.

3. Smash the boiled potatoes in a bowl and mix in the pinch of salt and pepper. Once well mixed, shape the potato mixture into a round pizza crust on a sheet pan with parchment paper. You can make it wider with a thin crust or make it a thicker crust, but keep in mind it will take longer to cook. Place the shaped crust into the oven for 15-20 minutes to allow it to crisp a bit.

4. While the crust is cooking, prepare the garlic sauce. In a blender, place the roasted garlic cloves, rolled oats, water, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper and blend until smooth. Set aside.

5. Remove the crust from the oven. Find a plate or platter that you can flip the crust onto and then place the crust back onto the pan.

6. Spread the garlic sauce all over crust. In a bowl, mix the barbecue sauce and onions. Spread the mixture over the garlic sauce. Put the pizza back in the oven for another 15 minutes.

7. Remove pizza from oven and add the kale topping. Place it back in oven and bake for 3 minutes and then remove to enjoy your delicious, healthy pizza!

have made and turnedthem starch solution compliant and maybesometimes they’ll be Mary’s minicompliant not all the time but sometimesand in this recipe it will be compliantfor both but with the exception of ifyou’re doing Mary’s mini you will haveto leave out one item but it’s not gonnamake or break it it’s still gonna bedelicious what I’m making for you todayis eye solution eyes Loren Toyota’spizza recipe her Instagram is hot forfood she has it on her IG TV i IG TV andI saw how she made her delicious kalepizza and I know kale and I thought hmmmlet me see if I can solution Isis Iplayed around and I feel like I came upwith a pretty good recipe and I thoughtwhy not share it with you guys so let’sget into what you need for this recipe[Music]so now that you know the ingredientslet’s get into the first step okay sothe first step is we are gonna massageour kale with some lemon and salt andpepper to taste and if you are salt-freethen by all means leave the salt out ifyou don’t like pepper leave that outit’s totally customizable but you cannotleave the lemon out that’s the onlything you got to keep in you don’t wanta lot of lemon you just want enough tocoat to go around that’s good okay sonow that we have the lemon I’m going toOh a little bit of pepperand we are going to massage this isgoing to help soften the kale and it’sgoing to kind of wilt a little bit youmust be and it’s going to get smallerI’m doing this first because you want itto get a little soft and it each time tojust fit and if you love kill you candefinitely add a lot more but for methis is good alright and that is thatwe’re gonna let this sit and we willcome back to this later on okay step twoyou’re gonna want to have your oven on400 preheating before you start any ofthis I I guess I should have said that’sstep one step two is the kale here Ihave golden potatoes I just boiled themsalt and pepper to tastethat’s all I’m putting but you if youwant to get creative there’s no wrongway to do this you can add mrs. – herbsyou can do any of that it’s up to youbut I like to keep it simple and we aregonna put this in here we’re gonna shapeit like a pizzaso also I wanted to mention this step istotally optional but I like it becauseI’ve done it both ways skipping thisstep and with this step so this stepright here I’m doing is I’m gonna shapeit and then I’m going to put it in theoven for about 20 to 25 minutesdepending how it depends on your oven ifit’s gonna get crispy or not and thenI’m gonna take it out and flip it andthen put the toppings on it and put itback in the oven that takes a little bitof time and if you’re pressed for timeand you don’t want to do that it’stotally fine you can skip it and justput the toppings on and put it in theoven and let it get crispy the onlyreason why I like to do it the extrastep is because then it holds like apizza you can cut it and hold it and itwon’t fall apart but if you’re not thatpicky it’s all good and you can makethis pizza as big as you want as thickas you want it’s however you want it butjust keep in mind if you are gonna takethis step and if you make it super thickit’s gonna take a long time for it toget crispy under there so just thinkabout that another thing is I justthought about it right now if you makeit too big it’s gonna be really hard toflip over so I’m gonna stop right hereand if I find that I can’t flip it overwhen I take it out then I’m just gonnaleave it and put the halfway through I’mgonna just leave it and put the toppingsand put it back in cuz you don’t want itto burn from the bottom either okay soI’m going to put this in the oven for 20minutes and you want to keep an eye onit depending on how strong your oven isyou don’t want it to burn you just wantit to get crispy at the bottom okay sowhile the potatoes are in the oven weare gonna get to our garlic aioli saucethey might give you a hard time maybeyou guys are better at this than I amput it all in thereokay so I have all the garlic in thereand now I’m going to add this mixturethat’s enough we are going to add half acup of water and I’m going to blend thisup so if you find that your Vitamix isnot blending well just add a little bitof water at a time not too much I don’thave my stick to move it around with metoday so I’ll have to hope that it willblend nicely okay so it is ready andlook at that is creamy and I just wantedto mention you don’t need a Vitamix ifyou have you know the little bulletwhatever cuz for this amount of sauceyou know it’s gonna take you a while toget it creamy because it’s such a bigblender and it’s not a lot of sauce inthere but this tastes so good and wewill put this on top of the potato onceit’s ready you’ll see okay it’s 20minutes and looking pretty crispy so Itook it out of the oven and it’s alittle crispy I would like it a littlemore crispy in the middle but that’sokay so now I’m going to put this plateover it so before you make it make sureyou have a plate that’s the same sizeand I’m going to flip it and careful notto burn yourself all right and now we’regoing to put it back whoops okay so nowwe’re just going to put the toppings andput it back in the oven okay so first weare going to put the garlic aioli sauceand this is how ever you want it youwant to put a lot put a lot you want puta little do what you need to do read itout like you would a realso I’m going a little bit heavy-handedbecause what happens is the potato kindof sucks it in I want extra flavor allright and next I’m going to add thebarbecue onions I’m just gonna use myhands for this parttypically you’re supposed to juliennethem really fine but I’m a chef sothis is how they’re gonna be cut okayand if you don’t like a lot of onionsthen put less but because they’re filledwith you know the barbecue flavor it’sgonna hit this spot all right and now weare going to put it back in the oven foranother 15 to 20 minutes you don’t wantthe onions to burn you just want themlooking caramelized okay so the onionsare cooked and now we are going to putthe kale on top and we’re going to onlycook this for like two three minutes youdon’t want the kale to burn and you canput once again as little or as much askill as you’d like put this back in theoven for to two to three minutes so herewe have it the final product solutioneyes potato pizza it smells so good Ilove that the kale is slightly crunchybut
