Bayou Smoked Turkey Breast – How to cook a Turkey Breast on a Big Green Egg – Grillin Ace

This easy recipe is one that is simple to do and will be perfect for anyone just beginning to BBQ or for a fast evening cook! We made this in the Big Green Egg, but you can also do this on any grill and even the oven.

HOW TO MAKE A BAYOU SMOKED TURKEY BREAST
______________________________________________________________
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
– 1 Turkey Breast
– 1 BBQ Provisions’ Bayou Brine
– 1 BBQ Provisions’ Bauou Dust
– 1 Brine Bag (if desired)
– 1 Bucket (large enough to hold bird)
– ICE
STEP #1
Set Big Green Egg for 350°F Indirect.
STEP #2
Follow Directions on brine package and add brine mixture to 2 quarts of water.
STEP #3
Rinse bird inside and out. Place bird into brine mixture and add water if needed to cover the bird. While brining, place in fridge for 45 minutes per pound.
STEP #4
Remove from brine. Add your desired amount of Bayou Dust to turkey.
STEP #5
Place turkey on Big Green Egg. Cook at 350°F for approximately 15 minutes per pound. Turkey is done when thigh reaches 180°F and breast is 170°F.
STEP #6
Allow a minimum of 15 minutes to rest before carving. Serve and enjoy!
