Check out this super easy and flavorful Turkey Wing recipe made by Sherri Chef Bae Smith:

Smothered Turkey Wings
-6 Medium Turkey Wings
– 1 Yellow Onion, Sliced
– 1 Tbsp. All-Purpose Flour
– 4 Tbs.  Butter
– 2 Cups Water
– 1 Cup Chicken Broth
– 2 Tbsp. Seasoning Salt
– 1 Tbsp. Black Pepper
– 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
– 1 Tbsp. Onion Powder
– 1/2 Tsp chili Powder
– 1 Lipton Onion Soup Packet

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Wash thawed turkey wings, then pat them dry. Season turkey wings with seasoning salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Place turkey wings in a baking pan. Slice onions, then add them to pan and around the turkey wings.

In a bowl, combine 2 cups of water and 1 cup of chicken broth. Add 1 tbsp of flour and the entire Lipton packet. Stir until completely dissolved. (You can also use 1 1/2 cups of water and 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth or just 3 cups of water.)

Pour the mixture along the sides of the baking pan. Add diced butter on top of meat, cover with aluminum foil and put into oven.

Bake the wings for around 2- 2-1/2 hours.

Remove the foil, but be careful because it will release steam as you take the foil off. Stir gravy in pan then spoon the sauce over the turkey.

Place turkey back in oven with no foil and continue cooking it until the skin is golden and brown. Then remove from the oven and serve with your favorite side dishes.
