hey everyone welcome Talia’s rules we’regoing to be showing you today two veryvery yummy appetizers that you couldtake to a friend’s house or have foryour family for a special meal ofappetizers let’s get started I thinkhaving a meal of appetizers is super funit’s gonna be a lot easier to clean uptoo because a lot of them tend to befinger foods but today’s video will beone that I’m making like little tacobowls and Paul’s going to be making hischicken wings and so we’re gonna beshowing you how we do those okay so wehave Paul here ready to do some wingsfor us today right that is correctcool can’t wait even though I don’t I’mnot a fan of wings actually buteverybody else is they are good soyou’re on your own you’re on an island Iam an island okay so he’s gotten stuffready hereso these are party wings are they’regood they’re yummyyou have the drum apps like these oneshere and the flips like these okay so Ibought these in a bag like a month agofrom Winco and I saw them and I knew youwould want them yes and with fight nighthere it’s the perfect time to makecheetah wings okay so what is it onthere what’s on there so sprinkled on mymy thought was we’ll do an Asian chickenwing so I did this citrus black pepperear pictures so if they don’t have thattrigger rub what could they use to makeitcitrusy you can use lemon or orange zestor lime zest mhmand how about lemon pepper lemon pepperwork and like salt and maybe like somegarlic yeah so so this actually haslemon peel and orange peel in it so I’dbe like the zestmm-hmm so these were frozen yeah and sodo you have any tips about that yeah sowaitdo any chickens you wanna you want todry them out a little bit because whenthey’re frozen or when they’re freshthey’re just gonna have chicken juice onit yeah so we’d have a I lean out cookiesheet layered some paper towels on itand let it sit there for a couple hourswhile they they thought they were kindof already thawing in the fridge for aday so just kind of absorbed yeah let itsit there for a couple hours and it’ssoaked the paper towels yeah so youwanna Mize dry as possible yeah okay butyou can still see that there is somejuice in there not fine it’s at leastit’s not gonna be covered or sitting inits juice no and it’s gonna go on thegrill so the juices will drop throughthe bill is really great so people aresoup they have lots of questions aboutTrager and if you guys have any morequestions about the trach or drop themdown below Paul will get to them hereads the comments so he will he lovestalking about his Trager I do it was oneof your favorite things if you’re nottrading you’re not doing it’s just areally good way to grill I love itokay he’s so Paul is putting them justput them on the trigger yep whattemperature is this this isright now leave him there for probably agood 40 minutes at 2:25 okay and then tofinish him off I’ll turn it up to about350 a little bit about an hour so yeahwe just really wanted to get crispy skinyeah but we want to keep the meat moistinside now one of the tips that I hadseen before is coating them in cornstarch put baking powder on chicken skinI thought as cornstarch you can also thebeakokay yeah that probably is it makes theskin crispy like fried chickenwhew okay so I’m gonna get started doingsome other things so wild Paul isworking on the wings I thought I wouldget started before making the taco cupsthat I would make some it really littlelike simple cookies called lemonmeltaways now this recipe requires a cupof butter softened and we’re gonna powerjigger and some flour and some lemonzest pretty easy right you guys so letme just get that going and I’m gonnastart mixing all that right behind me sothis recipe is pretty easy if you’veever done like the the Christmas cookieswith the chocolate I think they’recalled like Kringle cookies they’re likecoated in powdered sugar it’s going tobe kind of similar to that but it’sgoing to be lemon so I have two sticksof butter here in which I’m also goingto add a half a cup of powdered sugar sothis recipe is only going to usepowdered sugar which is kind of nicebecause the end up of having a whole lotof powdered sugar left over so hopefullyI won’t have that today so we’re justgonna mix that in and to that we’ll addsome zest now I couldn’t get tablespoonsof zestI just got enough off of two lemons andso you know what I’m gonna add that inthere as well and so I’m just gonnablendand then I’ll start adding the flour soeasy so because of its powdered sugarit’s so much finer than regulargranulated sugar so it doesn’t take thatlong to mix it in all right so now we’regoing to add two cups of flour now youcan put all I’m probably gonna just dothis one pump at a time and I’m justgonna mix it on a low setting just tryitso you guys that’s four ingredients toolright and then I’m just gonna kind of dothat kind of slow and then I’ll get theother cup in there and we’ll be ready tostart cooking down okay so now I have apliable dough and I’ve cut them intofour parts just to try to see if I couldget it says 36 cookies so I am going tojust roll them into little bones andjust put them on here and then we’regonna flatten them out pretty soon butlet me just fill this up with littlecookie dough balls[Music]so just using the bottom of my Neesonjar I’m just gonna press down as easilyas possible and so that way they’re justgonna stick right to the bottom butstill peel right off I love like therustic edges you can see they’re likekind of crinkled it’s not perfectthat’s good I’m just going to continueto do that with all of them and thenwe’re gonna bake them at 400 degrees forlike six to eight minutes not very longthese are about to go in I have a coupleof trays I think I’ll have enough forone more so that’s about 36 you guys sothat was pretty goodso six to eight minutes 400 degrees Iwill start checking em at 6 minutes andthen we’ll go from thereso while that’s going on dis going toput 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar on my dressI’m gonna put 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar inthis bowl and just kind of put it asideand then we’ll start working on theicingokay now is the time to make the lay soit’ll be 1 cup so you guys getting a bagit’s like the bigger bag not the 1 poundbut the 2 pounds so 1 cup nice dough anda half tons so I bet if you have onepound of it it probably enough as wellso 1 cup of powdered sugar and we’regoing to just put we’re going to startoff with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice I’mjust using the lemons that I graded andwe’ll go from thereand then what I usually do after this isjust put them in the garbage disposalit’ll make it smell so much better ok soI have my tablespoon a pint of lemonjuice and then I’m just going to give ita little stir and then I’m just gonnaadd a little maybe another tablespoonand just kind ofget a nice blaze going because this willbe that what little on top of the hoodokay these just came out of the oven andso I’m just going to now put them in I’mgoing to like toss them in the powderedsugar and then I think we’re going togive it a second toss into the powderedsugar a little bit later gonna be goodso right behind me I’ve already finishedrolling them in the powdered sugar soI’m just going to let them rest forabout thirty minutes and then I’m gonnare-roll them I knew I had to but I justwanted to confirm that so we’re gonnalet that go and why all those are goingso Paul’s almost done with the the wingsthese are gonna be nearly done and I’mgonna get started cooking some taco meatfor my taco cups so I have about a poundand a half you could use even two poundsso I’m just gonna do what I have cuz Ihad them sectioned off so I’m just goingto get that meat mashed thanks Daniel inand then I’m going to add a can of Roteland just some taco seasoning that’s itso we’re let’s keep let’s get going onthis okay so my meat is mostly brown soI’m just gonna kick put like a couple oftablespoons of my taco seasoning on oryou can just use an envelope if you’reinterested in on the taco seasoning I’lllink that video below it’s good stuff tohave on hand and now that I know how tomake itI haven’t actually bought a packet inyears so I’m gonna do probably aboutthree and I’m gonna now add a can ofRotel salt the juice and all so that waywe can use that juice to kind of helpmake it kind of a moist and make thesauce going okay that is looking so goodso we’re just gonna let it go a littlecouple more minutes and then I mean it’sgonna turn it off and then I’m gonnashow you what we’re gonna do nextso now I have that meat mixture justcooling down I am gonna start on mytaco shells so I buy these egg rollwrappers in which I make a really goodtex-mex cake roll but that’s not we’regonna do today with them I am actuallymaking them into little taco bowls sothe more ideal size would be the wontonwrappers but since I don’t have those Iam just going to take these and cut theminto quarters my handy-dandy pizzacutter now I was inspired with thisrecipe from watching the Pioneer Womanso I will link her recipe below and youcould see I just made my own variationwhich is super easy so the only thingwe’re gonna do right now is spray thecups the wells we’re going to add ourwrappers in there it fits nicely now Ijust took a little bit about atablespoon or two of my melted somebutter and so I’m just going to givethese little cups of brush on the insideto the tips because we want them to havea nice little golden color and to getsome extra flavor so now I’m justfilling the wells it’s maybe like abouta tablespoon just like one of thesespoons just to kind of get it in thereI’m not trying to overfill it because Iwant to put some toppings on it whenit’s all done so just my variation solet’s get these cooking now they’ll gointo 375 for about 12 minutes and thenlet’s see what they look like I’m justgonna add a tiny sprinkle of cheese andget them in the oven right now so I’mgonna put them in Monterey Jack and thenI’ll sprinkle cheddar on top then thatsounds so goodwe’re gonna check on the wings right nowwith Paul and it’s been out for at leastan hour so they should be nearly doneWow look at those so you’re justflipping them and you’ve turned up theheat I did I turned it up to about 350okay so now they’re gonna start browniemore yeah I’m gonna spraying with alittle a little canola oil okayround them up so how much longer do youthink now maybe at the most20 minutes okay okay so things arehappening so we’re gonna be heading outin about an hour or so so the thingabout the taco cups is that they don’thave to be hot in fact it’d probably bebetter if they were more at roomtemperature because on the lettuce andI’m gonna be putting on top I alreadyshredded some lettuce I mean I’vealready cut some Tomatoes those are allmeaning to be not on something hot rightbecause wilted lettucehmm so we’re gonna be getting thingsready soon but now I have to re-rollthese um these cookies and then we’llstart putting the glaze on it so let mererun I just can’t wait to try a littlebit of everything right because that’swhat a good chef does Hey these justcame out of the oven so I just thoughtI’d check it at ten minutes glad I didnice and toasty perfect so they almostserve like little taco shells or so soI’m just gonna let them sit here for acouple of minutes just so I can handlethem and then I’m gonna put them all onthis plate right here this platter I’mgoing to start glazing those cookies nowI’m going to show you how all right so Ihave my glaze here it’s a little thickbut when you start working with it itloosens up a little bit so I’m gonna putit in a baggie and then just snip theedge[Music][Laughter][Music]so I had the perfect amount to put liketwo stripes on each cookie so we’ll haveto try them in a minute because Paul isabout to glaze the wings and let me showyou what he’s glazing with okay so he’susing orange sauce have you ever made itwith them orange before no but I figuredwith this citrusrub we put on it that it would be goodwith the orange glaze kind of a AsianFlair a little bit Oh sounds goodso it looks like Paul’s just mixing thatup we even found a little bit ofteriyaki sauce nice little blend allright so just one more final roll andthen you’re just gonna glaze themthe glaze kind of baked on to it so hereit is you guys look how cute this isit’s got like the I just put shrimp someshredded lettuce some cheese and sometomatoes you could throw pico de gallo Ihave this grandma sauce that I want toput on it oh I don’t know if my mouth isgonna be able to take this in one biteand we’ll see mmm so good is reallyreally glad hey it’s time to try thecookie so white that you can barely seeit but I do have some of the frosting onthere mm-hmm[Music]mmm that is so good it’s got like ashortbread mmm that’s gonna be so goodyou guys the kids are gonna love thatone everybody’s gonna love it I love itand the look at these wings you guys Iknow that I know that Jonas isespecially gonna love them he and Paulthey love these things I I’m not alwaysa huge fan of the wings but um theselook really good I mean they smell goodand that orange chicken sauce orwhatever is gonna be so good on thisit’s like a like a nice little AsianFlair so you guys we just made somereally quick and easy appetizers and asuper easy dessert back here takes likemaybe an hour to do it all and it’s alot of easy build as you go kind of foodnow this could be an easy dinner itcould be I love having dinner that’skind of like an appetizer that is socool and if you’re not I mean these arewonderful things to serve to yourfriends they will let them and I’ll putthe links below   1. Paul should have his own grilling channel. Traeger wood pellets are so expensive. Wondering if you ever use the pit boss pellets from Walmart. Is there really a difference

  3. Hi Ines. I just realize how long your hair is , It looks really good. I need a hair cut sooo bad. I love the food you and Paul fixed. The cookies remind me of the cookies my Aunt Marlene made. The wings and taco cups I would eat all of them. Have a good one!!!!

  5. I really like the taco bowl idea! I have leftover taco mix – need the wraps. But thinking I could possibly substitute with small tortillas.
