Pork chops : grilled pork chops ( how to make Vietnamese grilled pork chops )

2.36 lb. pork chops/ pork steak
1 tbsp minced garlics
1 tbsp minced shallots
2 tbsp minced lemongrass
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp condensed milk
1 tbsp molasses (if you don’t have this, substitute with dark soy sauce but then you need to add 1 extra tbsp of honey to balance out )
1 tbsp cooking wine
1/2 tsp five spice powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp ground pepper
1 tbsp annatto seed oil ( can be substitute with regular cooking oil)

Onion garnish:
3-4 stalk of scallions finely chopped
1 tbsp cooking oil
1/2 tsp salt or vegetable powder/chicken powder

youfresh lemongrass mince them finely smashthe shallots garlic mince them bothdying me so you take our 2 tbsp youdon’t want to overwhelm the marinadewith too much lemongrass all right sugarfive-spice powder paprika peppers soysauce fish sauce molasses oyster saucehoney cooking wine and out of seat oilyou can replace this with regularcooking oil if you like to this justgonna give the meat a nice color to itcondensed milk give it a good mix addthe garlic shallots and the lemongrassinto the marinades mix them well it’snice and thicktoday I use two and a half pound of porkchop I’d like to use the one that hasthe fat in there too the fat will makethe meat more tender and more flavorfulnow I’m gonna pound the meat to make itmore tender like you know kind of makethe tender a little bit lightlydon’t don’t don’t pound them too muchjust lightly like that’s it and what youcan enjoy this because when you grillthis kind of methey tend to curve up because of tendonsto avoid that unit you need to make aslit like a two inch slit through themeat and do this first layer of the fatsee this way this way when you fry yourgrill it stays flatyou don’t curled up pat dry with a papertowel this way the meat will suck inmore flavor from the marinade now we’regoing to marinate put 1/2 tablespoon ofthe marinade on the bottom I take onepiece okaysecond piece this way just get themarinade evenly coated on the meat sowhat you do is now you can just massageit just do like this okayI’m going to grill it tomorrow we’regonna wrap it up and place it in thefridge overnight if you want to grow inthe same day marinate for at least twohour so now before i grill I bring itout from the frigeratorand let it stay about 15 20 minutes atroom temperatureand then you can start to grownow I’m gonna take the piece me gonnaplace it on the grillGrill in medium heat flip the meat oftento avoid burning the grilling timedepending on how it is[Music]grilling the second batchI’m using a pin to cut at least signgrill on it for five to seven minutesthinly slice the scan with some oil alittle vegetable seasoning mix well andput it in the microwave for 30 seconds[Music]when we eat you spread the onion on topthis way the meatdoesn’t look dry and the flat and theonion give it a little of flavor to itand that you just put it on top withwhite rice eat with tomato cucumber andlettuce wryneck and you are set hope youenjoy my recipe today thanks forwatching- next time
