Inihaw na PORK CHOP
(Filipino-Style Grilled Pork Chops)
Ingredients:
4 large slices pork chops
2 tablespoons lemon or calamansi juice
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup banana ketchup
3 large cloves garlic, chopped or grated
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon cooking oil
Instructions:
To make the marinade, combine lemon juice, soy sauce, ketchup, ground black pepper and sugar in a bowl. Mix well.
Place pork chops in a ziploc bag. Pour marinade over the pork chops. Place in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or overnight.
When pork chops are ready to be grilled, remove them from the bag. Rub the pork chops with cooking oil and cayenne powder.
Put left over marinade in a small bowl and save for basting.
Heat up the grill. Grill the marinated pork chops in medium heat for 5 minutes per side while basting with the leftover marinade mixture. Add more grilling time as needed.
Chop into bite slices and dip in your favorite sauce.
